This is a collective initiative born with the aim of revitalizing the image and providing a modern identity to amateur football teams, professionally and contemporarily reinterpreting the emblems of clubs from the country’s humblest leagues.

Hespérides F.C. is a fictional football club that gives its name to a project combining football, history and design.
Inspired by the heraldry of the selected teams, respecting their symbols and idiosyncrasies, and after immersing ourselves in the history of the club and the locality, we bring our creation to life.

Our first mission as emblem designers was to create our own, and to do so, taking the name of the street where both members grew up, we chose to represent one of the nymphs from the Garden of the Hesperides, an idyllic enclave in Greek mythology where the legendary golden apples, symbols of immortality, grew. Following this inspiration, we decided to adopt the classic colors associated with Hellenic civilization: blue and white.

Blue evokes the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Aegean Sea, which bathe the Greek coasts, and also refers to the deep naval tradition of this culture. White symbolizes order, perfection and purity, concepts closely linked to Greek architecture and sculpture.
In the shape of the emblem, it takes the shape of English teams logos. The silhouette of the nymph sits atop a classic football, reinforcing a retro aesthetic that is offset by the modern typography used to form the acronym.

Our proposal is not based solely on aesthetic criteria.
The new coats of arms have been designed to facilitate embroidery, screen printing and reproduction on the various media and applications required in today’s context.
They have been designed to work well in both digital and print media — from social media to stationery — even in reduced versions and single-color applications.
Although all emblems are designed to be perfectly applicable in real life (vectorization, color reduction, single-color version, etc.), we rely on artificial intelligence to expand the possibilities of our project.
With it, we generate sketches and ideas that we then put into practice with professional programs such as Adobe Illustrator or Affinity, and finally it helps us bring our creation to life by applying the coats of arms in realistic situations and settings.

The project was not created with the intention of ‘creating content for social media’ or gaining visibility, and we do not obtain any financial gain from its development. It is based on a passion for design and football, understood as forms of cultural expression. From there, the desire arose to apply modern and innovative solutions to an area in need of evolution, such as amateur football.
This is a cultural initiative that seeks not only to dignify amateurism, but also to ensure the representation of the values that define these categories: commitment, dedication and humility.
